Product Description

The Solar Ultra 1 Regular from RAB is a two-season synthetic mummy sleeping bag designed for campers who need reliable warmth on nights down to about +6°C. It’s built to pack small and carry easily, making it a solid choice for everything from weekend backpacking trips to car-camping under milder skies.

Inside you’ll find 100gsm of recycled Stratus synthetic insulation arranged in a triple-layer construction, which helps spread warmth evenly and holds up better than down if it gets damp. The mummy shape and a 215cm length (suited for users up to around 185cm tall) strike a balance between a snug fit that traps heat and enough room to move at night. Both the outer and inner fabrics are made from 20D recycled polyester Atmos without DWR or PFC coatings, so you get a tough, lightly water-resistant shell without added chemicals.

In technical terms, “20D” refers to the fineness of the polyester yarn, offering a good compromise between low weight and durability. The triple-layer synthetic sheet insulation consists of three 100gsm recycled panels stitching warmth where you need it. And by skipping traditional water-repellent chemicals (PFCs and DWR), the fabric relies on its tight weave for moisture resistance while cutting down on environmental impact.
