The Osprey UL Raincover MD is a straightforward rain shield for midsize backpacks, keeping your gear dry when the weather turns wet. It stows away compactly until you need it, so you’re ready when clouds break.

At just 112 g, this cover adds almost no weight to your pack yet stretches to fit backpacks from 30 to 50 L. The recycled 40D nylon high tenacity ripstop fabric resists tears and abrasion, and its light pack size means you can leave it tucked in until rain is on the way.

“40D” refers to the fineness of the nylon yarn—thin enough to stay light but strong enough for rugged use—while ripstop construction weaves in thicker threads that prevent small holes from growing. “High tenacity” indicates extra tensile strength in the fibers, so the cover holds up under tension and rough handling without bulk.
