Exped Dura 8R LW

The Exped Dura 8R LW is an insulated airbed made for camping and mountaineering in bitter conditions. With a comfort height of 9 cm and a temperature rating down to –40 °C, it’s designed to keep you warm and supported when the ground is frozen solid.

The top layer is woven from recycled 75/170D polyester, offering a balance of durability and a soft feel against your gear or sleeping bag. Inside, RDS-certified 700 cuin down is evenly lofted to trap heat, while the mattress compresses into a 27 × 17.5 cm pack size that fits easily in most backpacks without taking up too much room.

An R-value of 7.8 reflects how well the pad resists heat loss through its insulation, meaning less body warmth is drawn away by cold ground. The 700 cuin fill power indicates the down’s loft per ounce—higher fill power provides more warmth for less bulk. RDS certification ensures the down is sourced according to animal welfare standards.
