The Samaya Alpinist 2 is a two-person ultralight geodetic tent made for backpackers and mountaineers who need a sturdy, low-weight shelter. It sits among lightweight tents and keeps gear protected whether you’re tackling alpine trails or high-altitude camps.

Its three-layer laminated Nanovent® membrane flysheet balances tear resistance with moisture management, and the 40D Nylon66 floor adds abrasion protection where you need it most. A DAC FeatherLite™ NFL 8.7 mm pole frame creates a geodetic structure that stands up to wind without weighing you down, and the 40,000 g/m²/24 h breathability rating helps reduce condensation inside. At just 1.299 kg and packing down to 360 × 340 × 150 mm, it slips easily into a backpack for long multi-day treks.

Three-layer laminated fabric means three bonded layers—a tough outer shell, a waterproof Nanovent® membrane and an inner liner—giving strength and consistent performance. The breathability figure (40,000 g/m²/24 h) shows how much water vapor the fabric allows to escape in a day, so the interior stays more comfortable. DAC FeatherLite™ NFL poles use a high-strength aluminum alloy that keeps weight low without sacrificing durability.
